1 THESE BOOKING CONDITIONS
Set out the terms on which you contract with us, Tall Stories.
2:Our Primary Interest is to ensure that your booking and holiday run smoothly and that you enjoy your holiday from start to finish. Our representative is at the resort to make your holiday as comfortable and as memorable as possible. If you have any problems during your holiday, please bring it to the attention of our representative while in resort who will make every effort to achieve a satisfactory solution. If you do not we may not be able to deal with the problem on your return. If you do not receive a satisfactory solution to your problem, please write to us at the address overleaf within l4 days of your return.
3:Making a Booking and Payment. Please make all bookings on the form provided and send it to us by post, email or by fax. Ensure the correct details are given as well as a deposit of £150 per person and the appropriate insurance premiums. Upon receipt of the booking form and correct deposit, plus appropriate insurance premiums we will send to you a confirmation of booking detailing accommodation and numbers booked and setting out the final balance due from you and its date of payment. Please note that if you are booking within 10 (ten) weeks of your departure date you must send us the full cost of the holiday plus insurance premium. N.B. Please advise us on the booking form if you are a particularly unusual size for equipment purposes.
No contract exists between us until we have sent you confirmation of booking. All conditions are binding upon us both. The person making the booking not only guarantees payment to us of the total cost of the holiday booked but does so on behalf of and with the consent of all persons for whom the booking is completed.
Full payment of your balance as given in your confirmation of booking must be paid by the date shown. Failure to make this payment by the due date will constitute a breach of the contract and Tall Stories reserve the right to cancel the booking and levy cancellation charges as detailed in point 4 below.
Tall Stories will send to you your tickets and travel documents at the address stated on the booking form approximately two weeks prior to your departure date.
4:If you cancel your Holiday Booking. Should you or any member of your party need to cancel your booking, or part of it, once it has been confirmed, you must do so in writing. The charges you incur are set out below, and depend on when we receive this notification. The more notice you give, the less you will be charged. Charges will be levied at the following percentage of the total brochure cost, inclusive of extras, even if you have not completed payment of the balance of the holiday.*

Please note: You may be able to make a claim on your insurance if your cancellation falls within the terms of the insurance policy offered by us and you have taken out that insurance cover.
5:If you Change your Booking. Requests to alter the details submitted on your booking form after confirmation can be made in writing or by telephone but we are not bound to comply with such requests. When a request for an alteration can be met by us we will confirm the amendment on your final confirmation after the balance of payment. An administrative charge of £25 will be levied per alteration. Transfer of a booking to a new party is permitted as long as the new party agrees to abide by the terms and conditions. An administrative charge of £60 will be levied per name change. New persons added to the booking form will be viewed as having been named on the original booking form and therefore subject to those terms and conditions.
6:Our Guarantee on Price. We guarantee that the price of your holiday will not be subject to any surcharge. Once you have paid the full cost of your holiday, the cost thereof cannot be increased. The only time the price of your holiday could increase would be 30 days or greater from the date of the start of your holiday. If, within this period, the exchange rate alters significantly i.e. beyond 2% as given by a high street bank, or a government or official authority levy a tax or transportation costs increase, we reserve the right to extend this increase to you. In this case, it is possible to cancel without incurring a penalty. Likewise, a price decrease is possible.
7:Your Health and Fitness. All persons taking part in sporting activities should be in good health and have a reasonable basic level of fitness. You must advise us in advance of any disability, medical or behavioral problem experienced by you or any member of your party, which might affect that person or other guests during the holiday. We reserve the right to decline a booking or exclude any person at any time, prior to or during the holiday, if in our opinion that person is not compatible with the general enjoyment and well being of other guests on the holiday. We reserve the right for ourselves, our representatives, employees and agents to refuse participation to any person if, in our or in their opinion, that person is not fit, for whatever reason, to participate in that sport.
8:Age Restriction. Bookings can only be accepted from persons under 16 years of age when accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them. The parent or guardian must countersign all booking forms in respect of persons less than 18 years of age.
9:Our Liability to you. We accept responsibility to you in the event that the services, which we contract to provide, are deficient or not of reasonable standard. Compensation will be limited to the invoice cost of that part of the contract, which is deficient, or not of reasonable standard. We also accept responsibility for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, representatives, agents and sub-contractors.
We accept responsibility where one suffers death, bodily injury or illness for the negligent (as the word is understood in English law) acts or omissions of our employees, representatives, agents and sub-contractors whilst engaged in the performance of their contract with us but otherwise we cannot accept responsibility.
The air or sea carrier’s individual conditions of carriage apply and are often subject to international arrangements. We cannot be held responsible for the loss of enjoyment or additional expenses due to delays or changes in any travel agent’s arrangements or other services which are caused by circumstances amounting to force majeure such as war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute or adverse weather conditions,
Please also note that we cannot be held responsible with regard to any extra activities you engage in whilst on holiday which are not provided through us.
10:The Hotel and Room. Please note that a single supplement of £175 per week will be payable for the Chalet Hotels Bruyeres and Petit Prince. There is a single supplement of £350 for the Hotel Royal Ours Blanc.
11:Hotel Alternative. We make every attempt to deliver your holiday as per the brochure. Unfortunately, there may be occasions when we have to change the Chalet hotel you stay in due to circumstances beyond our control. If this should happen the alternative accommodation will be of the same standard as the original accommodation and we will try to get the same level of amenities whenever possible. We also reserve the right to change your accommodation, if for reasons of under-occupancy; we decide not to use some of the hotels.
12:lmportant United Kingdom nationals do not need a visa for France. A full passport is necessary. Please allow plenty of time for your passport application.
13:Brochure Details. The details announced in our brochures are published in good faith, but it has to be kept in mind that factors such as weather conditions can sometimes affect the facilities described in the brochure. The information in the brochure is subject to change. Any change occurring will be communicated before the contract is concluded.
14:Law and Jurisdiction. These conditions form a contract between us which will be construed in accordance with English law and it is agreed between us that each will submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
