Over two hundred dancers descending on some of the best skiing resorts in the world ... perfect snow, glorious sunshine and excellent company - and great dancing nearly every night - either organized or irrepressible.

Linda & Mike organize the annual Dance & Ski trip, and every year they just get bigger and better.

D&S 2000 was set in French Alpine resort of Courchevel 1850 - the best resort in the best valley of the best ski area around. The whole of the massive Three Valleys was our playground, and we made good use of it!

To give you an idea of how Dance & Ski has evolved, here is a brief summary of the previos trips:

1. Sauze (Italy) 1996

The 1st and smallest trip. Was really organised as a bit of fun, to see if there was a market out there for this type of event. 30 people went. There was no hired dance all, we just used the bars and nightclubs. Everyone enjoyed it and called for us to do it again.

2. Bardonnechia  (Italy) 1997

Numbers increased to 50, we didn't really anticipate more than this. We ended up having a waiting list. Again we didn't hire a dance hall, just booked and went using the nightclub and one of the hotels which had a small dance space.

3. Serre - Chevalier (France) 1998

This time we hired a dance hall and went for 100 places. We ended up with 125 people. The Accomodation was quite spread out though due to the size of the resort. Hence not a resort to cater for such large numbers. We all discovered though that having such a large number was fun in the day when ski-ing (there was also more of a range in standards of Skiers) and gave people more choice at night.

4. Courchevel 1999

We decided to forget the poxy little resorts and go more upperclass (though the prices did this too) and obtained 200 places. We ended up taking 202 people and everyone had an excellent time.

5. Courchevel 2000

It was such a perfect resort and with a dance hall that we could have well into the small hours that we decided to go again.
212 people this time and this was definately the best with little problems being ironed out. The snow was good, the weather perfect and the people all fab.

6. Val d’Isere 2001

Another top French resort, but the weather let us down snow, snow, rain, wind - never mind.

7. Courchevel 2002

Once again, a fab holiday with great skiing, and plenty of bronzed faces. Some excellent dance nights too in the usual hall. This was the first year that Tall Stories were responsible for the trip, and they did a brilliant job - everything went smoothly, with any inevitable issues being reoved quickly and efficiently - well done guys.

8. Tignes 2003

Absolutely fantastic! Being a bit earlier in the year (mid February as opposed to March) and some good luck left us with the best snow in fifteen years and blue skies every day too. A slightly smaller party this year, but I think that everybody had a great time.
